Promises for Help with Prayer

For at that time I will change the speech of the peoples to a pure speech,that all of them may call upon the name of the LORD and serve Him with one accord.  Zephaniah 3:9

And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and pleas for mercy.  Zechariah 12:10

Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness.  For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.  And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.  Romans 8:26-27

Because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!”  Galatians 4:6

Promises to Answer Prayer

I call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies.  2 Samuel 22:4

If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.  2 Chronicles 7:14

Because your heart was tender and you humbled yourself before God when you heard His words against this place and its inhabitants, and you have humbled yourself before me and have torn your clothes and wept before me, I also have heard you, declares the LORD.  2 Chronicles 34:27

Then man prays to God, and He accepts him; he sees His face with a shout of joy, and He restores to man His righteousness.  Job 33:26

Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage, and the ends of the earth your possession.  Psalms 2:8

But know that the LORD has set apart the godly for Himself; the LORD hears when I call to Him.  Psalms 4:3

I sought the LORD, and He answered me and delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to Him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed.  Psalms 34:4-5

Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD; trust in Him, and He will act.  Psalms 37:4-5

If I had cherished iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not have listened.  But truly God has listened; He has attended to the voice of my prayer.  Blessed be God, because He has not rejected my prayer or removed His steadfast love from me!  Psalms 66:18-20

For He delivers the needy when he calls, the poor and him who has no helper.  Psalms 72:12

In the day of my trouble I call upon you, for you answer me.  Psalms 86:7

When He calls to me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.  Psalms 91:15-16

Moses and Aaron were among His priests, Samuel also was among those who called upon His name. They called to the LORD, and He answered them.  Psalms 99:6

He regards the prayer of the destitute and does not despise their prayer.  Psalms 102:17

Out of my distress I called on the LORD; the LORD answered me and set me free.  Psalms 118:5

The LORD is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth.  He fulfills the desire of those who fear Him; He also hears their cry and saves them.  Psalms 145:18-19

You shall weep no more. He will surely be gracious to you at the sound of your cry. As soon as He hears it, He answers you.  Isaiah 30:19

Then shall Your light break forth like the dawn, and Your healing shall spring up speedily; Your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of the LORD shall be Your rear guard. Then you shall call, and the LORD will answer; you shall cry, and He will say, ‘Here I am.’  Isaiah 58:8-9

From of old no one has heard or perceived by the ear, no eye has seen a God besides you, who acts for those who wait for Him.   Isaiah 64:4

Your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.    Matthew 6:8

For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.  Matthew 7:8

If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!  Matthew 7:11

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be Yours.  Mark 11:24

If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to Your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!  Luke 11:13

Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.  John 14:13-14

If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.  John 15:7

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, He may give it to you.  John 15:16

In that day you will ask nothing of me. Truly, truly, I say to you, whatever you ask of the Father in my name, He will give it to you.  Until now you have asked nothing in my name.  Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.  John 16:23-24

Through Him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.  Romans 5:2

This was according to the eternal purpose that he has realized in Christ Jesus our Lord, in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through our faith in Him.  Ephesians 3:11-12

Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us.  Ephesians 3:20

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.  Philippians 4:6-7

For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.  Hebrews 4:15-16

Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus.  Hebrews 10:19

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.  Hebrews 10:22

Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.  James 5:16

And this is the confidence that we have toward Him, that if we ask anything according to His will He hears us.  And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of Him.  1 John 5:14-15

 

Promises to Those Who Trust God

 

And he believed the LORD, and He counted it to him as righteousness.

Genesis 15:6

 

Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose trust is the LORD.  He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.

Jeremiah 17:7-8

 

And to the centurion Jesus said, “Go; let it be done for you as you have believed. And the servant was healed at that very moment.

Matthew 8:13

 

For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.

Matthew 17:20

 

For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.”

For the Scripture says,

“Everyone who believes in Him will not be put to shame.”

And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him.

Promises of The Holy Spirit’s Powerful Ministry

 

Until the Spirit is poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness becomes a fruitful field, and the fruitful field is deemed a forest.

Isaiah 32:15

 

I will put my Spirit within you, and you shall live.

Ezekiel 37:14

 

I will not hide my face anymore from them, when I pour out my Spirit upon the house of Israel, declares the Lord GOD.

Ezekiel 39:29

 

And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh;

your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions.  Even on the male and female servants in those days I will pour out my Spirit.

Joel 2:28-29

 

He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.  Matthew 3:11

If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!  Luke 11:13

And behold, I am sending the promise of my Father upon you.  But stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.  Luke 24:49

On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out,“If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink.  Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of His heart will flow rivers of living water.’”Now this He said about the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive, for as yet the Spirit had not been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.  John 7:37-39

Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will He do, because I am going to the Father.  John 14:12

And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, to be with you forever even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. You know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.

John 14:16-17

 

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, He will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.

John 14:26-27

 

When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all the truth, for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak, and He will declare to you the things that are to come. He will glorify me, for He will take what is mine and declare it to you.

John 16:13-14

 

And when He had said this, He breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit.”

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.

God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.

All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as He wills.

Who has made us competent to be ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.  And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.

And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!”

Walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.

In Him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of Your salvation, and believed in Him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of His glory.

That according to the riches of His glory He may grant you to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.

I know that through your prayers and the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ this will turn out for my deliverance.

Promises to Believers Struggling with Sin

 

I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, that you should not be their slaves. And I have broken the bars of your yoke and made you walk erect.

Leviticus 26:13

 

For the LORD Your God is gracious and merciful and will not turn away His face from you, if you return to Him.

2 Chronicles 30:9

 

He sent from on high, he took me; he drew me out of many waters. He rescued me from my strong enemy and from those who hated me, for they were too mighty for me. They confronted me in the day of my calamity, but the LORD was my support.

Psalms 18:16-18

 

Blessed be the LORD, for he has wondrously shown His steadfast love to me when I was in a besieged city.

Promises to Give His People Strength

 

For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless toward him.

2 Chronicles 16:9

 

Cast your burden on the LORD, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.

Psalms 55:22

 

Awesome is God from His sanctuary; the God of Israel – he is the one who gives power and strength to His people. Blessed be God!

Psalms 68:35

 

Then we shall not turn back from you; give us life, and we will call upon Your name!

The LORD is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation.
